Don’t forget Saturday December 5th, Unraveled Sheep is hosting Nancy Bush Estonian Glove/Mitten sale 10 AM – Noon. 100 % of proceeds go back to the knitter in Estonia.
I am continuing my series of last minute projects for Christmas. All this week I am focusing on projects that are a little larger. As we get closer to Christmas, the projects will be faster.
Moab by Very Busy Monkey made out of 2 skeins Freia Sport.. This is an ombre yarn that gradates in color from to reds to golds. This wrap would be beautiful in any of Freia’s colorways.
Moab is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the center out in a garter body with a chevron geometric border. The pattern is well written for this type of yarn, instructing you when to start the border. This way you can use up almost all of this gorgeous yarn.
Lune Shawl is designed by another local artisan, Miriam Felton. The graceful crescent shape of this shawl makes it most comfortable to wear and a lot of fun to knit. The inner curve of the crescent allows the shawl to hang carelessly from the shoulders while creating delicate fluttering tail edges. Designed for versatility, this piece could be knit in ANY weight of yarn, in any quantity (size and yardage will vary) . This model was made from 2 skeins of Rimu from Zealana . This is a fingering weight 60% New Zealand Merino, 40% Possum to give it a wonderful halo.
