15 Days of Christmas-Day 7

Textural Healing Shawl by Shannon Squire

This is a fun, fairly easy shawlette pattern with various textures just perfect to highlight a gorgeous semi-solid yarn. Its almost-half-circular construction sits just right around your neck; add the perfect shawl pin, and you are ready to rock and roll.  It can be made in as little as 260 yards.  I like to recommend Revel  85% baby alpaca, 15 % merino 275 yards for a cute size for just around your neck.

Cimone by Amy Christoffers

Knit from side to side, this triangular, garter stitch scarf features drop stitch fringe. The fringe is made by dropping stitches and tying the strands off.  This can be made in an evening, as demonstrated by several of my customers.   You can use a chunky yarn or put 2 yarns together ofr special look.
